Faiyum, Egypt

Hailing from Faiyum, Egypt, a region rich in history and antiquities—we only use the strongest, longest and silkiest authentic Egyptian Giza cotton to create our woven bottoms. Working directly with 145 smallholder family-run farms in the region, we bypass the use of traditional middlemen to ensure best business practices and guaranteed pricing—which equated to 35% above market pay last season. We work hand-in-hand with the farmers to understand their changing needs, providing them with subsidies like fertilizer and agricultural consultants, and their biggest request: accessible, quality education for their children. So, from funds raised from the sales of every order to date, we’ve built two schools in the farming communities we work with, with another three underway in 2019.

Supplying all of our flat fabrics for woven bottoms, this factory manages the entire production stack from milling, dyeing and weaving. With 40 years of textile experience, this family-owned business was founded in Aleppo, Syria, and is now based in Egypt and Turkey. They promote a supportive, inclusive working environment, prioritizing environmental practices and their employees’ health and safety.
